Sing with soul. Grow with purpose. Perform with passion.

Soul Reason isn’t your average choir.

It’s a vibrant, committed vocal group for adults who want to dig a little deeper and be part of something that genuinely matters. Some of our singers arrive with years of harmony experience. Others come with a love of soul and contemporary music and a desire to stretch themselves. If that sounds like you, you’ll feel at home here.

We rehearse weekly in Newbury, exploring music with groove, depth and joy. Our repertoire moves through gospel, jazz, disco and soul, always rooted in rhythm and expressive storytelling. Along the way, you’ll be supported by expert direction, detailed learning tracks and a community that values high standards without any ego.

Soul Reason thrives on consistency and shared effort. It isn’t a drop-in group, and the commitment reflects the work we create together. That’s why membership runs for the full year – it gives us the foundation to grow as a group and perform at our best, especially when we take the stage with our phenomenal live band of professional musicians.

But finding the right fit matters for everyone.
So this September, you’re welcome to join us for a taster month. No pressure. No obligation. Just the chance to step into the room, sing with us, and see if what we do resonates with you – and if you feel youn would like to be part of it.

If you’re prepared to show up, sing out, and contribute to something meaningful, we’d be glad to hear from you.
